How To Repair Your Drought Damaged Lawn

Here is another Buffalo lawn (Palmetto Buffalo in this case) here in Baulkham Hills, in the Sydney Hills area.

This one is starting to recover, however, was badly damaged with heat and drought stress last Summer.

First things first, fertilise heavily with a slow release granular fertiliser (with high CRN) and rating around 22:0:5 for NPK. Next, let La Nina take care of the rest, that is, nice warm weather and plenty of rain.

What we normally do is fertilise all the lawn evenly then go over the old damaged spots and load up the fertiliser to help lawn recovery in those spots.
